NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

SHANTI MARG is  striving hard in the fields of Education & Environment, since 15 long years in the poor areas of Delhi., Rajkumar Kataria is the founder and has born with a vision to uplift the poor to the equality of the Society. He registered the NGO under societies act XXI of 1860 in the year 2002, and having the article clause of 80G.

Shanti Marg is running a non-formal education centres in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana & Uttarakhand with the strength of 50-60 children in each study Centre. These children are very poor and belong to the families who are by profession rag pickers, home servants and semi orphans too. But still crores of children are out-of-school in India and may never get a chance to study, because of weaker economical status. some of these children support their parents in their jobs and some are out of civil control and involved in bad deeds.

As India’s literacy rate has increased six times since the end of the British rule — from 12% to 74% in 2011, yet, India has the world’s largest population of illiterates. – 287 million, amounting to 37% of the global total.

So SHANTI MARG fixed a goal to educate 2000 children upto 2025 by setting up 10 more non-formal education centers in different needy areas. Your precious suggestions and help is valuable for us.
